Lin Revington – Art Psychotherapist (Early years and 11 years upwards) and Trauma specialist
Art making is a dynamic act that shapes experience and contributes to the development of thinking
I have many years’ experience as an art psychotherapist and have worked with children and young people in a wide range of clinical settings as well as in private practice. I specialise in healing relational trauma, work with children with special needs, and offer attachment focused work with parents/carers and their infants/toddlers.
Art Psychotherapy uses traditional and electronic art materials to help children and young people express difficult and worrying thoughts and feelings. We work together to identify goals that can support their emotional wellbeing and build their confidence, emotional comfort, physical health and relational security.
I also offer as an art psychotherapist trauma support for children and adults who have experienced early attachment trauma, such as birth traumas, separations, physical illness, early loss of parent and carer, and physical and/or emotional abuse.
My art psychotherapy work is based on proven medical results so that children, young people and their parents/carers can be assured of the best possible support and care.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma and a Master of Research in Art psychotherapy and am registered with the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). The profession is regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
